Any opinions?

So, I'm taking an informal, unscientific poll. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think the following passage from Scripture is saying.

Philippians 2:12-14 (New International Version)

Shining as Stars
12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

THANKS!

This means to me that you are to continue to "do" according to what God would have you do in this life, in order that He would be honored and glorified through your life. Basically, the part about God working in us to will/act according to His good purpose says that we'd better watch it in general - God is GOD! He is holy, He is big, He is Most High and honorable and we need to remember that always. While yes, He is our Father, our comforter and protector, He is also BIG. So watch yourself! (Reminds me of the verse "Guard your steps when you go to the house of God - draw near to listen, not to offer a bunch of words." I think it's in Ecclesiastes?! I don't know; I'll find it.)

I guess this to me means that we should obey God out of the knowledge that He is BIG. We have grace, yes, but this section's saying that we can't forget that God is God and He is always right and He is always going to work through you, so you'd better recognize.
